Fine art print making today is as much art as it is science. Considerable time and engineering has been applied to the production of your fine art canvas “Giclee” or cotton print “Rag Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl”
.
The process begins with a high-resolution digital capture of the original art work. From there we print and revise until the artist feels we have produced a master print that truly reflects the quality of the original oil painting. The master file is then used to create various sizes for our clients.
Depending on the size and type of print we utilize one of three Epson Stylus Pro printers. All of these printers use Epson UltraChrome archival grade ink and will consistently produce a final print that will endure the test of time. Wilhelm Research, and independent testing firm, has posted excellent ratings using our current equipment and materials. Both the 100% cotton, acid free paper and the acid free canvas are estimated to have an archival life in excess of 100 years.
The paper print is printed on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl from Germany. This medium is made from 100% cotton archival rag and is considered one of the finest printing surfaces in the world. Hahnemuhle has been in business since 1584.
Epson specifically designed the heavyweight canvas for outstanding high-resolution printmaking. It too is a 100% cotton archival, acid free medium engineered to withstand the rigors of stretching. The canvas is attached to the best quality stretcher bars using only stainless steel staples and can be re-stretched if ever required.
